ODM Ice Hockey - Host Hradec Kralove Region won over Liberec

The first ice hockey match of the Children and Youth Olympics could be watched from nine o'clock in the morning at the ice rink in Vrchlabí.

The first two teams were the Hradec Králové and Liberec regions. An interesting match especially for the home region, which is hosting this year's Olympics. It was clear from the beginning that the match would be played in a great spirit. After the first period, it became clear that the opponents would not give anything away for free, as it ended goalless. In the second one, the teams showed their strength as they both scored two goals each. The teams took the tie into the third period.

And it was also very attractive for the spectators. First, the Liberec region was happy, as it managed to beat the home team's goalkeeper. But that was the last goal in the home goal. The goalkeeper of the Hradec Kralove Region made several excellent saves, for which he earned the praise of his teammates.

Hradec Kralove Region, on the other hand, made three goals. First it was the equalizer, after which the team enjoyed the same victory as in the case of the overall win. The fourth goal of the home team was scored by a player from the blue line and shot through everything in his way. The fifth goal was scored into an uncovered net when the Liberec Region decided to play without a goalkeeper with less than a minute left in the period. After the 5:3 win, the Hradec Králové Region hockey players enjoyed a typical thank-you party, which you can watch in the video.
